How age is counted here
Age is the completed years, leftover months and leftover days from the birth date to the “as of” date (today unless you change it). That is the usual way forms in Bangladesh ask for age, not a simple total of days divided by 365.
SSC form vs passport
A birth date of 14 April 2008, measured on 14 April 2026, is exactly 18 years, 0 months, 0 days — the day you become 18 for many adult forms. The same date in বঙ্গাব্দ is 1 Boishakh (New Year). NID, SSC registration and e-passport each copy the birth certificate; this tool does not replace those records. Change “as of” to an exam date if you are checking a board age cutoff.
When this does not apply
Hijri age, gestational age, or a court-corrected date of birth. Kolkata panjika month lengths differ — use the Bangladesh বঙ্গাব্দ converter only for the 14 April rule. Digits on a form: number converter.
